******This post may contain spoilers, please read at your own risk********

I am losing passion for GA... I don't know what's going to be left once Sandra Oh (=Cristina Yang) leaves the show. At this point, all the characters are starting to turn against her... Owen is dating that girl he met last week at the gala, Mer's pride was hurt by Cristina's honesty last week so she's letting go of her "dark twisted sister"...

I chose to watch the bilingual subbed version to laugh at the translations (lol jk)- to see if I understand things right. Plus I believe with the subtitles, it's easier to understand what's happening in the pictures~

The storyline today is connected through this red cup... it seems to imply something, but I am unsure of what it is... Connections... maybe I'm not smart enough to connect the dots?!
The red cup was crashed when dropped to the ground by an intern...
I feel bad for Brooks... and I don't think I am ever going to like Shane, despite him being very driven and talented - one who Cristina is starting to like... He may be the replacement for Cristina that Shonda created, but he is in no way as charismatic as Cristina, and his personality flaws are hard to overlook... no matter how sorry he feels- he's just an ass to me.

Arizona has now become my second last favourite GA character... (second to Izzy... which Shonda destroyed uppon exit of the actress - a punishment which I think the actress deserved, but character doesn't...) Quite simply put, Arizona's a B*tch. Any more words would be wasting my time.

Owen should be more aware of his PDA (public display of affection)  at the hospital... his ex-wife (Cristina) and everyone who knows of her is still here... but we all know who's leaving this show soon-- so maybe this is acting to accelerate Crisitna's decision to ditch these suckers back here and head to another top edge facility.
Cristina's way of covering for her awkward feelings are just classic XD "bring your girlfriend to work day" lol

Cristina's parts of patient interaction is always the most interesting: today, she encounters a patient who have already made his end of life plan. He and his wife had spent all the money they had and are deep in debt from "experiencing life". They were looking to pay off all the debt once he is dead from the inoperable AVM... Cristina wanted to help and they had to comfort her LOL:

Cristina's brilliance trumped all other doctors on the show. Shane did help, but Cristina works magic in the OR- she's going to go on and be a legend once she leaves these crappy, life-hating, suffering, miserable doctors behind.

Why am I not surprised that Cristina told Owen's new girlfriend that she's his ex-wife XD... the reaction after this admiration was so epic!

If Cristina didn't steal your patient with Cardio problem, she's not Cristina anymore - chill, April~
She saved the dying patient and he and his wife cried because their lives are now ruined... LOL

Callie is trying hard to cope from separation with Arizona... poor Callie... she's my second favourite after Cristina right now. She's so cute, loving, and passionate- I don't know why Shonda had to be mean to her :( maybe because we all love her so... ratings will go up as soon as anything dramatic Callie .... Her patient made her realize, she's not doing her research for her soon to be ex-wife, but for millions of other patients

Family issue is really no one else's issue, including girlfriend and spouse... Although out of good intention, Wilson's advice to Alex to talk to his dad fell through... ended very badly...

Meredith is taking up her mother's unfinished research and stepping it up. She still fears that she may become someone like her (as a mother). At this point, I've heard her saying this so many times, I am getting annoyed... YOU ARE NOT LIKE YOUR MOTHER AND STOP BEING OVER SENSITIVE ABOUT IT!
Plus, with Derek, who is willing to take away her burden for her, Mer is going to be both a great surgeon and a great mom ...

Shonda is going to let Cristina cease to exist in this hospital... but it was kinda funny and sad at the same time when Cristina mentioned that paper towel sensor lol... Then there's Mer, who's pride got hurt and is unwilling to make up with Cristina :(  - I hope they don't end with bad turns when Cristina leaves... (Think I read somewhere that Shonda's not going to kill her off- I hope she keeps her promise)

In the end... we found out all the mugs in MerDer residence is exactly the same... and I think this is a subtle hint that Mer is starting to develop some sort of dementia-like symptoms...
We will need to connect the dots ourselves...

 Atmosphere ★★★☆☆
Taste ★★★★☆
Commute ★★★★☆
Service ★★★★☆

Yesterday, I went with my friends to Dunbar Haunted house, it was a lot of fun. It could've been better if we did not spend ~2 hours lining up. I really should've put my backpack down at home then go instead of going straight from school with all my stuff-- so heavy and made my back hurt like *(&*%#$^(*#*$.... Anyways, I'm glad I went with 7 new friends from 1st years, this made the wait not so boring. Plus, we also tried out a restaurant I searched up that's near the haunted house:
老王記 台灣牛肉麵 Taiwanese Beef Noodle King
located at
8335 Oak Street
Vancouver, BC V6P4A9

The store looks a bit old and like most other Chinese/Asian restaurants, feels a bit oily. So the atmosphere feels like home, but not exactly the most elegant. It's comfortable, and that's enough for me. The utensils, tables and food are clean.

We went in around 6 ish, that time, the store was completely empty, and made me feel a bit bad for recommending it to my newly met friends - because it looks a bit sketchy. But as the time goes by, we have a full restaurant of people. This place is quite popular among local Asians!

The food's price was reasonable, though- my friends asked "this is one $ isn't it?" I have to say the quantity is enough to satisfy most people, although for a guy, you might want to add some side dishes.

I ordered A5 紅燒牛肉麵 (Stewed Beef Noodle in Soup) and it tasted authentic- as good as any 牛肉麵can taste in Canada, really.

Soup is good. A little bit on the salty side, but goes really well with the noodles. Could be a bit more sweet, though. Meat wise, I have to say, the texture of the meat was great. It is cooked just right- softness and gelatin-like texture of the beef and collagen(tendon) are amazing. However, I wish they had maybe used meat that are more fresh(?) because I think I tasted a very slight stink from the meat...

My friend tried A4- Noodle Soup with Stewed Beef and Beef Tendon. 紅燒牛筋、牛肉麵

She let me ate a piece of tendon.I got to say, the tendon should've been cooked in the soup more to let the soup taste soak into it a bit more. The raw taste from the tendon is a bit too prevalent- not all people can withstand that. I say, if you are not Asian and not used to eating tendons, skip this one and go for A5.

Other friends A11: Wonton and Noodles in Soup. It looks great, taste wise, from the fact that he finished all, I guess is good?

Overall, the service is friendly, food is above average (really, you can't find much Chinese/Taiwanese food that taste as good as this in Canada...). Only thing is it is in some area that I would not normally visit. But it is very accessible by public transit having bus stop right in front of it. So- I'll definitely recommend it for people who love home made style Taiwanese food :).

Oh, and one funny picture: I'm not going to tell you what I think this plant looks like..... (lol *look away*)
