My update: (skip the green if you don't wanna know what I've been through recently)
I just finished a brutal midterm today which encompassed Pharmacology, Therapeutics, and Pharmacophysiology... I am sure I got burned really bad even though I started to study a week before the exam... I did still keep up with these 2 dramas during the time period... still have to watch How I Met Your Mother. :P

Kimura Takuya's drama is always above average in many aspects. Most of the time, it's the cast - his dramas are always stared by many supporting actor/actresses that already have the popularity and ability to be a lead. Starting from Long Vacation, every supporting actor/actresses at that time like Matsu Takako (松 たか子), Takenouchi Yutaka (竹野內豐) Hirosue Ryoko (廣末涼子) have all become very very famous within the Japanese drama world. It is also impossible to get the same cast all together right now... so I have to keep going back to review the old dramas ...T_T

--------------I do not think the following contain significant spoilers, but if you want to avoid being spoiled, you should probably watch the drama first :P----------------------------------
安堂ロイド - Ando Lloyd = "Android" it's Japanese English. (Chinese: 安堂卓)

With this said, how can I miss this drama XD? It's also very exciting that Shibasaki Kou (柴咲コウ) is co-starring with Kimura again after 10 years!!! I wish this will happen with Kimura and Takeuchi Yuko (竹內結子), too... when are you guys gonna get together again? Halu & Aki in PRIDE is too good to not be paired up again!!!
PRIDE - Halu's Shut Up Kiss to Aki ... One of my favourite coupling scene of all time
Fine, I'll talk about the drama now. I swear, I'm not a Takuya fan, but he is just so charismatic in all the dramas. This time, his primary character (the scientist), Reiji is a cute geek. Well, the only thing unreal about this character would probably be his face XD (and his girlfriend, but he's got the face and good personality- nothing illogical about it).

Like many profs, Reiji laughs at his own jokes LOL ... and like many truly genius profs, he can't really teach... may be because no one can follow his thought process or commonly known as "boring" talks. I can totally relate to the students... when profs are in their own world, lecturing with their own pace - it becomes impossible to concentrate in his/her class.

This drama is romantic in a very unique way. Reiji (Takuya) and Asahi (Kou) look SO CUTE TOGETHER!!! (How much did Tokyo tower paid to have their stuff advertised like this?! ... making me want one!) Kou San looks so beautiful now~ she looks great without the bangs. The two's interactions are like aliens.

Their body language, seriously... what is that? "protect" and "psych"?

This is a bit over, but very humorous... I'm sure if Takuya (or anyone as good looking and talented) proposed to your this cutely, you'd do this, too)~

Within 10 minutes of airing, the "flag" came out. (Flag- a dialogue, sign, action, etc that foreshadows later events, often tragic). The classic "Aishiteru"

This girl (Ayano Fukuda 福田彩乃)'s performance in this episode is exceptional. Her acting is even better than that actress who act as the main character's sister (Nanase). Her character name is Laplace (Engineer students should know). Think she's one of those variety show personalities who specialize in imitating stars. (Takeuchi Yuko was among those - I've seen the video ... here: http://youtu.be/HaQ1-mAUEtQ?t=7m3s) Totally don't realize it's the same person until I wiki'ed her up O_O ! She's got great potential- her manager should do something about it!

I felt that the main character (primary) died a bit too early... the scriptwriter probably did not want us to get too attached to this character himself so we'd love the android more (?). If he had let the first episode elaborate on how this primary character was like more than just snippets of memory, it could help us get into the emotions the female characters (Kou-"Asahi" and Oshima Yuko-"Nanase") much easier... Or else, their tears just seem fake...He should've let the primary character die on the second to last part of this episode, then last part being the android being "printed". Although this might make the drama seems conventional, this type of routine is developed according the the viewer's pace...

The coolest real life version of Doraemon:

From the speed that our technology is advancing, I'm sure we are going to be able to achieve this in 100 years... it's just whether the government will allow it O_O... Here's a tech joke "404 not found":

I really hope that 100 years later we'd at least change the error code LOL!!! What if your new robotic bodyguard looks exactly like your deceased fiance? (To be totally objective, the robot is cooler, but I like the prof- I like smart geeky guys a lot XP)

Now comes the action part~!
It's actually a bit annoying how this girl wouldn't stop attacking the robots like she stands a chance. Get out of the way, seek cover, let the pro do it!

Being an older system puts Lloyd in a challenging situation. However, through a "boost" (if you know things about techs and computers, the languages used in this drama will make a lot of sense and be pretty funny.)
I am almost 100% sure they develope the ideas for this scene from Super Man Return Movie...

The tempo of the 1st episode is a fast like most decent Japanese dramas. With lots of actions and computer generated special effects that are amazingly well done. I wish I can print such a handsome AI bodyguard~.

The theme of this drama really attracts me (I am one of those girl who's into Star Wars). I really want to find out Reiji (primary character) really died. Who sent ARX13 (Lloyd)? Why did they have to die? There are many questions being presented in EP1 and still unresolved in EP2. However, because I am disappointed at how the writer decided to present the Asahi (=Kou)... I might reconsider following this drama...

In 2nd EP, the story focused on "family". Oshima Yuko (大島優子) from AKB48 acting as "Nanase"  in this drama made this episode pretty unbearable... She is obviously not on the same level with the other actors/actresses in regards to acting skills. With long dialogues, she still cannot put her full emotions into the story and lead the viewer's into the situation - this is very severe when she is a major character.

Lloyd's interaction with the cute mechanic robot/nurse is interesting. Some history was also indicated. She also offered to install the "emotion" programs for him. So she seems to be more human... she has emotions and feelings... Actually, I have a feeling that she already installed the program onto him this time, even if she hasn't, someone's going to at some point- or else, how is this drama gonna continue to develop?!

Apparently charging takes a lot more electricity than our current world can probably supply? Maybe he needs pikachu as a pet - er, I mean pokemon :D

The robot enemies are defeated in much shorter time. Due to Lloyd's activation of the advanced system introduced in last episode- Asura (lol the normal one is Okawa - reference to the scientist, and at the same time, another drama by Kou--- Galileo). This episode's focus is not on action (and I think they will have less and less time to do the computer graphics... so don't expect too much of it later on).

Another cute point about Lloyd: he is dead honest - he can't lie XD. (oh, and he can drink miso soup!) Asahi had to cover up for him in front of the police and her mom and the media... being a spoker person for Enigma Software Company, she is certainly very good at lying. (?) :D
The police of course, was too smart to believe in such blatant lie.

The mother came this early in the morning... parents- please don't go to kids' apartment early in the morning when they live with their significant other... if they are "uh-hem", it would be VERY AWKWARD. It is so funny seeing the interaction between Lloyd and Asahi's mom - hahahahahah when did he installed "How to be a son-in-law" program? Lloyd is probably even better at it than Reiji himself.
When Reiji (Takuya) lies in bed, he looks so damn cute!!! XD I was like smiling and squeeking in front of the screen... my friend is like "you like old man?" Well, he is a very handsome 41 years old charismatic guy!!! But she's got a point "he is almost the same age as your dad!"...10 years younger la~ hehehe - doesn't take away his charisma! I even yelled "I like older guys" out loud in study room O_O"

I think Lloyd is having signs of "emotions"... maybe he is developing / evolving? or did someone installed it without him knowing, or was it just the director's strategy to cause discussion?

Lying to Nanase touched Asahi's bottom line...

Ep2's tempo is really messy. Most of the time I felt bored. The story is still good and the plot is still creative. It's just the acting and the character's emotions are not well connected and controlled by the writer, actor, and director. Writer set Asahi as an annoying Saint Mary type of character who antagonize Lloyd on his killing - even though it's to protect her against the true evil (?). Actor's emotions have not been effectively expressed (especially Oshima ... really not good enough to be a major on this show... hope she improves fast to catch up so she doesn't become the weak link in this drama). Director's way of cutting the scenes and arranging them makes the tempo rather messy - which then cause disconnection with the characters... thus making me unable to feel like I am involved in the drama or I am attracted to the character or I can emphasize with the character's emotions...

Takuya is still hot. Kou is still beautiful. They look AWESOME TOGETHER! Hope Asahi changes to be more supportive of Lloyd. Wish Nanase become the antagonist. Last but not least, I WANT TAKEUCHI YUKO X KIMURA TAKUYA COUPLE AGAIN!!!!
